Best Google Places Bug Yet!

I was recently working on claiming a Google Places listing for a client when I ran into an issue (not my first Google Places issue – but the best one yet!). As I tried to claim the listing I received an error – so I went to the highlighted field. It said “Arizona”. Ok, what could be wrong with the state?

I read the error over and over puzzled – “No such State/Province in this country. Please enter a valid State name (or Province name)”.  Next, I thought maybe the country was set wrong – nope – it said good ‘ol U.S. of A… Maybe the zip code? Wrong-o, it was right.

Final conclusion, Google is trying to take over the world by dictating which states are legit now.

Google Now Offers Towing Services?

Take a look at the below claimed Google Places listing for a Google office – one of three things is happening:

1. Someone hacked the listing and uploaded a couple tow truck images.

2. Google has merging issues with their own listings.

3. Google now offers towing services.
